Guidelines
Mechanics
1. The video should run for a maximum of 3 minutes. 2. Entries should be original. It should not have been submitted to any other video contest. (Big Hotel has the right to disqualify an entry should there be any evidence of plagiarism.) 3. There MUST only be ONE (1) author for every entry and the contestant is only allowed to submit ONE(1) entry. 4. Entry must not be purely a personal greeting video presentation but should be a motivational video that would inspire and connect to the general public. 5. To submit an entry, simply upload your video entry on your own Facebook profile. 6. Upon posting the video, use the official hashtags: #BIGinFathersLove #BIGHotel 7. Misused of the official hashtags will not be accepted. 8. Video resolution should be at least 720p (1280X720). 9. All entries must include the official logo of BIG HOTEL at the end of the video or in some ways, depict or relate to BIG Hotel. 10. The music used for the video must either be original or properly cited. 11. Videos should not contain any offensive or inappropriate language and/ or content. 12. The video must contain any of the guide questions: - What is a Father? - How are they important to our lives? - How do Fathers make our lives worthwhile? - How Fathers brighten up our days? Even the saddest days? - What’s the essence of having a father?
Screening
1. Qualified videos will be judged according to the following criteria: a. Creativity and Originality – 30% b. Number of Facebook Likes* – 25% c. Number of Facebook views – 25% d. Relevance to the theme – 10% e. Overall Appeal – 10% 2. Entries will be accepted until June 9, 2017 at 5PM only. 3. The organizing committee will only choose Top 3 Finalists. 4. The top 3 finalists will be announced on June 14, 2017 and the Grand Winner, on 16th of the same month. 5. The top 3 videos will be uploaded to the BIG Hotel Facebook page for public viewing.
General Conditions 1. The contest is open to all people from all ages currently living in the Province of Cebu.
2. There must only be one (1) author per entry. 3. BIG Hotel has the right to use the videos submitted for marketing and other purposes. 4. Contestant must submit one (1) entry only.
Prizes and Winner Notification 1. Winners will be notified through SMS and calls. 2. The chosen Top 3 finalists will be informed and announced on June 14, 2017 and their respective videos will be uploaded on the same day. 3. The grand winner will be informed on June 16, 2017 and the posting of the winning video to Big Hotel’s Facebook page will happen on the same day. 4. The finalists must be present during the Father’s Day celebration on June 18, 2017 at Big Hotel. 5. The Grand Winner will receive a 5,000.00 pesos in cash and an overnight stay in a Standard room of the hotel and a free Father’s Day buffer for two(2) persons during the celebration of Father’s Day at Big Hotel Kitchen and Bar Restaurant on June 18, 2017. 6. The non-winning finalists will also receive a cash prize and a free Father’s Day buffet on the 18th of June 2017. 7. Big Hotel has the right to forfeit the prizes if unclaimed one month (30 days) after the announcement of winners. 8. The Top 3 finalists will also receive a certificate of appreciation and recognition. 9. The decision of the organizing committee is final and irrevocable.
