On February 22, 2018 at approximately 6:00 pm the Blaine Police Department received several reports of a threat referencing “bhs” students on multiple social media sites.
This threat does not reference Blaine High School.
The information received was a screen shot that appeared to be from Instagram. Blaine Police Detectives began to investigate this immediately. Their investigation revealed that the screen shot that was reported to us was taken from a news media story today in Belen, New Mexico. The information and screen shots that the Blaine Police Department received are identical to the one that was featured today in the KOB Channel 4 News Story from New Mexico. http://www.kob.com/albuquerque-news/threat-prompts-2-hour-delay-at-belen-highschool/4798947/ At this time we do not believe there is any credible threat to students at Blaine High School.
