Mint Bowtie Cut 7 strips 2½" x WOF for Border 3. Pink Petal Cut 1 circle, 8 half circles, and 4 quarter circles from the templates provided. Add ¼" seam allowance if necessary for your favorite method of applique. QUILT ASSEMBLY Refer to the Quilt Center Diagram for placement of fabric pieces and blocks. Full Circle Dresden Plate Block Refer to the block diagram for placement of Dresden blades. Fold 20 assorted print Dresden blades in half lengthwise with right sides together. Stitch along the top edge with ¼" seam allowance and backstitching at the start and end of the seam. Trim the seam at the point near the fold. Turn the point right side out and carefully push out the point. Press.

Fat Quarter Stack Using the template provided, cut 12 Dresden blades from each of the following assorted prints: mint main, navy main, cream medallion, mint medallion, navy medallion, mint bowtie, navy bowtie, pink petal, navy scallops, pink scallops Navy Main Cut 8 strips 6½" x WOF for Border 4. Gray Bowtie Cut 1 strip 20½" x WOF. Cut the strip into 1 square 20½" x 20½" and 2 rectangles 10½" x 20½" for Border 1. Cut 2 strips 10½" x WOF. Cut the strips into 2 rectangles 10½" x 40½" for Border 1. Cut 2 strips 20½" x WOF. Cut the strips into 8 rectangles 10½" x 20½". Cut 1 strip 10½" x WOF. Cut the strips into 4 squares 10½" x 10½".
Sewing Diagram Sew the sides of the blades together to create the full circle Dresden plate. Center the Dresden plate on the gray bowtie 20½" square and attach the Dresden plate and pink petal circle using your favorite method of applique to complete the Full Circle Dresden Plate Block.
Bluebell Half Circle Dresden Plate Block These instructions are to make 1 block. Refer to the block diagram for placement of Dresden blades. Fold 10 assorted print Dresden blades in half lengthwise with right sides together. Stitch along the top edge with ¼” seam allowance and backstitching at the start and end of the seam. Trim the seam at the point near the fold. Turn the point right side out and carefully push out the point. Press the Dresden blade. Sew the sides of the blades together to create the half circle Dresden plate. Center the Dresden plate on the gray bowtie 10½" x 20½" rectangle and attach the Dresden plate and pink petal half circle using your favorite method of applique to complete the Half Circle Dresden Plate Block. Repeat to create 8 Half Circle Dresden Plate Blocks.
Half Circle Dresden Plate Block Quarter Circle Dresden Plate Block These instructions are to make 1 block. Refer to the block diagrams for placement of Dresden blades. There are 2 different quarter circle blocks. Fold 5 assorted print Dresden blades in half lengthwise with right sides together. Stitch along the top edge with ¼" seam allowance and backstitching at the start and end of the seam. Trim the seam at the point near the fold. Turn the point right side out and carefully push out the point. Press. Sew the sides of the blades together to create the quarter circle Dresden plate. Place the Dresden plate on the gray bowtie 10½" square and attach the Dresden plate and pink petal quarter circle using your favorite method of applique to complete the Quarter Circle Dresden Plate Block. Repeat to create 4 Quarter Circle Dresden Plate Blocks.
Quarter Circle Dresden Plate Blocks Borders Seam allowances vary so measure through the center of the quilt before cutting border pieces. Sew border strips together end to end if necessary to get the length needed. Sew side borders first. Border 1 Side borders should be 20½". Top and bottom borders should be 40½". Border 2 Sew 2 Half Circle Dresden Plate Blocks together to create the right side border. Repeat to create the left side border. Sew the side borders to the quilt center. Sew 2 Quarter Circle Dresden Plate Blocks and 2 Half Circle Dresden Plate Blocks together to create the top border. Repeat to create the bottom border. Sew the top and bottom borders to the quilt center. Border 3 Side borders should be 60½". Top and bottom borders should be 64½". Border 4 Side borders should be 64½". Top and bottom borders should be 76½". Finish quilt by layering the quilt top, batting, and back. Bind with your favorite Riley Blake fabric from the Lulabelle Collection.
