Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF) is the largest charity in the United States funding ovarian cancer research. Our mission is to fund scientific research that leads to more effective identification, treatment, and ultimately a cure for ovarian cancer.
Each year there will be approximately 22,000 new cases of ovarian cancer in the United States, and nearly 15,500 women will die of the disease. Currently there is no effective means of early detection. Since 1998, OCRF has given over $50 million for ovarian cancer research. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, OCRF-sponsored researchers are developing innovative strategies for early detection; exploring the genetics that increase risk for ovarian cancer; understanding the underlying molecular biology of the disease; identifying new and better targets for treatment; and deciphering how and why ovarian cancer spreads, and how to stop it. Directions to Nova’s Ark Project 60 Millstone Road, Water Mill, NY 11967 From New York City: Take 495 (LIE) to exit 70 (about 63 miles). Make a right off exit 70 onto 111 Manorville. Follow 111 to 27 East (Montauk Highway). Take 27 East through Southampton to Water Mill. Look for vegetable stand “Green Thumb” on the right and keep going east on 27. Pass Watermill Lumber and look for a Hess Station on the left. Take the first left immediately after the Hess Station onto Scuttle Hole Road. Follow this for 2.4 miles until you reach Millstone Road. Make a quick left onto Millstone Road. The Ark Project will be on your left hand side at 60 Millstone Road.
