2017 NSW NOVICE TITLES Nominations Close 31st May 2017 at 5pm http://www.boxingnsw.org.au/eventsregister/9029/ Criteria 1. NSW Boxers must be registered with BA/NSW and NSW Combat Sports 2. Interstate Boxers must be registered with their BAL member association. 3. Interstate Boxers must request a clearance to box from their BAL member association. 4. BAL Technical and Competition rules will apply 5. Categories are 0-4 bouts (inclusive) & 5-10 bouts (inclusive). Once your nomination has been submitted you confirm this information is true and correct and will be the same as at the commencement of the tournament. The draw will be live steamed at 4pm on Monday 5th June, therefore, once your nomination is submitted, there will be no room to alter your category selection and you will be unable to compete at this tournament . 6. Only Red or Blue shorts/skirts and vest will be permitted 7. Red mouth guards will not be permitted 8. Age categories will be determined using a boxer’s day of birth on the first day of competition and not year of birth. 9. Weight categories are as per BAL Technical and competition regulations 10. Experience categories will be 0-4 inclusive and 5-10 inclusive. Boxers are not eligible to enter this tournament if they have won a State title or competed at a national level. 11. Boxers must declare all competition bouts in any individual combat sport. 12.All bouts at this tournament will be conducted over 3x2 minute rounds 13.Weigh-in times are set by BA/NSW and are not negotiable.

Girls on Tour An NSW Team of Elite Females headed to New Zealand for training and competitions from 20th - 29th April. Great experience for all involved. Congratulations Astryd Carmelo, Vivianna Ruiz, Annabel Vogel, Jess Messina, Haylee Smith, Tyiesha Palu (Youth - by request). While travelling around and enjoying the delights and scenery New Zealand has to offer they got to train and meet with the great Kiwi Heavyweight
Congratulations to NSW Athlete Jacob Sheridan and Coach Jamie Pittman, together with Brody Penney (TAS) who have been selected for the AIBA 'Road to Buenos Aires' Programme, in preparation for the Youth Olympic Games to be held in Argentina in 2018. The camp is one of three camps that will take place at the AIS from April 19-27. In attendance will be boxers and coaches from Pacific/Oceania nations - America Samoa, Micronesia, Nauru, PNG, Samoa, New Zealand. Well done and good luck to all involved.
