4R Winnipeg Depots are places where residents can drop off materials that can be recycled, reused, composted or resold.

Garbage

Packing tips

$63 PER TONNE/$15 MINIMUM CHARGE*

• Pack similar materials together in your vehicle/trailer.

Materials that currently cannot be recycled, reused, composted or resold will be accepted in the garbage area.

• Review the map showing the order of the bins before you pack your vehicle.

You will be charged for all materials dropped off in the garbage area, based on the weight of your load.

• Remember: “first in, last out”. The first materials you pack in your vehicle are the last materials you will want to take out.

• Electronic waste Televisions, computers and computer equipment, audio and video equipment, phones, cell phones, microwaves • Household hazardous waste Household cleaners, fluorescent lights, propane tanks, paint, herbicides/pesticides • Motor oil, filters, and containers

• Large appliances Stoves, fridges, freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers

• Clean fill Soil, sod, clay, sand

• Large plastics Buckets, plant pots, storage containers, plastic patio furniture, laundry baskets – no metal components, tarps or bags

• Clean lumber Non-treated/nonpainted lumber, wood, off cuts, pallets

• Rubble and masonry Brick, asphalt, patio stones, gravel, concrete – no rebar

• Glass Bottles, jars, windows without frames, glassware, broken glass

• Tires

• Ceramics Dishes, tiles, sinks, toilets

• Scrap metal Small appliances, pots, pans, chain link fencing, BBQs

This list may grow or change depending upon program availability.

*Self-dumping trailers must be unloaded manually

Vehicles pulling trailers with more than one axle will not be admitted to the 4R Winnipeg Depots and must use the main landfill entrance. Tipping fees will apply to the entire load.
