Brand Storyteller for Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar The Brand Storyteller will be responsible for launching PR strategies in markets where Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar is expanding. This position will also be responsible for all PR of existing restaurants. PR strategies will also include the development, execution and analysis of social media content in addition to community outreach and local events. This position includes creating content to support Marketing promotions and ensure the brand story is used to support all campaigns, rollouts, programs. Responsibilities and Duties:

 

Ability to conceptualize, develop and deploy integrated marketing-communications campaigns and work closely with our team to develop effective, impactful copy as elements are developed based on the tactical plan A passion for writing matched with a deep understanding of the ever-changing nuances of consumer language Writing style should be conversational and nimble enough to embrace the voice of our brand while also connecting with our varied audiences The ability to quickly and efficiently tell big stories with a limited character count Develop and execute PR strategies for new restaurant openings, as well as the following in existing restaurants; new menu rollouts, promotion launches, etc. Utilize “out of the box” strategies to allow Lazy Dog stand out from competitors Develop and execute social media strategies to align with Lazy Dog’s marketing calendar Plan and execute all Social Media programs across all current Social media channels Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies for each of the social network channels Provide bi-weekly reporting to the partner team on growth statistics, highlights, etc.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Excellent written and oral communications skills and professional client service manner Demonstrate ability to take initiative and interact with all levels of management Negotiation, presentation skills, flexibility and adaptability required Understanding of online marketing performance metrics Knowledge of public relations and marketing fundamentals is a plus but not requirement Ability to partner and interact professionally across the organization and with outside contacts Broad “rolodex” of media contacts with accompanying strong relationships in the hospitality industry, particularly in California, Nevada and Texas is a plus but not requirement A Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, communications, public relations or journalism is required Exceptional competencies in copywriting and storytelling Experience with hands-on social media execution, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc. Ability to utilize time and resources efficiently, make effective decisions, and take responsibility for decisions made Well-honed intangible creative skills and a passion for details A highly skilled communicator: listening, writing, speaking, presenting
