As English teachers we know the value of classic literature in preparing students for college level reading and AP exams in middle and high school, and in creating a well-rounded, historically knowledgeable student. For students surrounded by today's fast-moving technological world, the relevance is just not easy to see. In this session, teachers will learn how to make classic literature come alive with strategies that bring relevance to "old" texts in this society of instant gratification.
