Once again the MFL is sponsoring a 4Man Scramble golf outing. They will meet on Saturday, August 26, at Mayfair Country Club. If you don’t have a team you will be paired up. Check-in time is 1:00pm, but you can arrive earlier for the lunch buffet – the Tee time is 2:00pm (shot-gun start). The cost is $50 and is due at the time of registration. Cost includes buffet lunch before first tee, cart, door and skill prizes and a post-round dinner. Limited spots are available. You can register today and August 6 and 13. Register in the church foyer between 1st and 2nd service and after the 2nd service. - Please note: To get an accurate head count you must register at the registration table in the foyer only – please do not register on your communication card or thru the weekly offering collection.

OUR MISSIONARY PRAYER FOCUS today is Steve & Betsy Kline serving with Pioneers. LADIES PRAYER GROUP meets each Monday in the Prayer Room at 12:30 pm. All ladies are welcome to join us to pray for the needs of our church. DO YOU LIKE TO BAKE? Our Sunday morning kids need some baked goodies to get us through the Summer  If you are interested in baking please write your name on the list located at the Information Desk. Pick a date, write in your name, and drop them off in the Kids @ Community office by 10:00am on your Sunday. We will need approximately three dozen pieces of whatever you bring. Please no peanut products. Thanks! PACESETTERS ANNUAL PICNIC: Join us on Saturday, August 19, 4:30-6:30pm for our annual picnic. “Smokin’ Bill” Bender will be providing the barbecue again this year. The meat and a beverage will be provided. Those attending can bring their favorite side dish and/or dessert. Sign-up on your Sunday Communication card, in your ABF or at the Information Desk in the church foyer. PRAYER & STAMPING group is meeting at Betty Eller’s this Tuesday, August 1, at 6:30pm. This group is for ladies interested in a time of praying and then making stamped cards to send to the people and friends of our church. Contact Betty (330-784-3085) with questions. BIKE, BODY & SOUL meets for their next ride on Saturday, August 12. The group will meet at the church at 8:30am for devotions and be ready to

leave at 9:00am to carpool to the trail at Rockside Rd. for their ride. After the ride, the group will have lunch together at a local restaurant (at the rider’s own expense). The BBS group is for everyone, age 18 and older, who wants to meet once a month to enjoy a bike ride and lunch together. If you plan to go on the ride it is important that you sign up with your cell phone number, so that we don’t leave anyone behind or in case we need to contact you if the ride is cancelled. Please sign up at the Information Desk or email Sunda Papp ([email protected]) if you plan to go. MEN’S WEEKLY GOLF meets each week on Wednesdays at 3:15pm at Mayfair Golf Course (2229 Raber Road - Green 44685). CCPL CO-ED SOFTBALL LEAGUE: Our Co-Ed League plays each Sunday at Tuscora Park (behind Barberton Hospital). They play 4 games each Sunday beginning at 2:00pm. There is a picnic every week reaching out to non-believers in the league and also at the park. Come, be a part of this league/outreach! Food and drink donations are always accepted and may be brought to the field or dropped off at the kitchen for Kelly Twiddy to bring each week. KIDS @ COMMUNITY AND COMMUNITY CHRISTIAN PRESCHOOL are collecting items for Heart Reach Ministries in August. Mattie Allen, Chloe Meeks, and the Love Your Neighbor crew volunteered there recently and saw that the need there is great. Please consider donating some of the following items in the bins located in the foyer to help this non-profit organization that offers day camps and other programs to the children of Youngstown where they teach these great kids about God. - Crayons, markers, paper, glue sticks, pencils, construction paper, new or gently used board games, playing cards, dollar store prizes, kid size socks, tooth paste, tooth brushes, bar soap, shampoo, deodorant, tissues – WE HAVE A GREAT NEED for a leader on Sunday Mornings in our 2nd & 3rd grade 9:30 class. This class is on a rotation where you lead one month and have two off. Please prayerfully consider teaching these great kids about Christ! TACO TUESDAY – August 1 & 8, 6:30-8:00pm Taco Tuesday is our summer event just for our middle school crew. We meet on selected Tuesdays during the summer at church. At Taco Tuesdays we will be doing a variety of awesome things. There will be plenty of games, water balloon fights, and giant slingshots. We'll be opening God's word to see what it has to say about issues middle schoolers are facing every day such as: Self-esteem, depression & anxiety, relationships with their friends, siblings, and parents, dealing with rejection & peer pressure. Of course we'll be eating as many tacos as we can every night! (*This event is for middle school students only*) WORLD VIEW BIBLE STUDY – August 3 & 10, 7:009:00pm: Join us at the Furno's house (198 E Catawba Ave Akron 44301) for a Bible study focused on how our Christian faith informs our world view and how we are called

to interact with the world views of other people. In August we'll continue to define what worldview is and talk about both evolutionary and Islamic world views. *This event is for high school students only*

BONFIRE AT THE GRUNWALDS'S August 6, 7:009:30pm: Join us at The Grunwalds’s home 7638 Diamondback Ave NW Canal Fulton 44614 for one of our August bonfires! Come enjoy the evening with us as we cookout, enjoy the outdoors and a great fire! We will provide cookout food. However, if you are able, please bring a drink, side or dessert to share with everyone. MOVIE NIGHT - STAR WARS EPISODE 7 – August 10, 8:00-11:00pm: Want to geek out a little bit? Come watch Star Wars Episode 7 with us then! We'll be at the Furno's house (198 E Catawba Ave Akron, OH 44301). We'll have some snacks, but bring one to share if you can! We'll hang out and enjoy the movie together! SR. & JR. BREAKFAST – August 14, 9:00am-12:00pm: High school seniors and juniors, we want to invite you to come to the Furno's house for breakfast. Joseph will cook and provide all the basics like eggs, bacon, sausage, and more, but feel free to bring a food such as muffins or fruit to contribute. We'll eat breakfast and enjoy being together and look ahead to dream about how we can serve and love God. SPECIAL PRAYER NEEDS!
