Call for Entries Submission Form SUBMISSION DUE DATE: August 31, 2015 EXHIBIT: Alumni Art Exhibition EXHIBIT DESCRIPTION: Cecil College’s Art Program is pleased to invite entries for an Alumni Art Exhibition, which will be presented at the Elkton Station Gallery and the Milburn Stone Gallery at Cecil College. The Art Program is accepting submissions for 2D or 3D works including but not limited to painting, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, jewelry, photography, drawing, printmaking, graphic design, etc. This juried exhibit is intended to highlight the Art Program’s students and to connect alumni, current, and prospective Cecil art students. This is a traveling exhibit; all works submitted must be available for the dates specified. ELIGIBILITY: The exhibition is open to all artists, 18 years and older, having graduated or transferred from the Art Program at Cecil or former students of the Art Program, and other Cecil alumni working as professionals in the art field pursing an artistic practice. Only works completed in the last three years that will be available for exhibition from October 28, 2015 through January 29, 2016 will be considered. Student work produced under direct supervision is NOT eligible. IMPORTANT DATES:  Submission Due Date: Monday, August 31, 2015  Notification of Acceptance: Monday, September 14, 2015  Elkton Station Gallery Exhibit Dates: Friday, November 6, 2015 through Friday, November 20, 2015  Opening Reception: Friday, November 6, 2015, 5-8pm, at the Elkton Station Gallery in conjunction with Elkton’s First Friday events. This is a public art reception for all artists, students, friends, family and the community to attend.  Drop Off: Monday, October 26 through October 28, 2015, 10am-5pm at the Elkton Station Gallery  Artwork will be transported and installed at the Milburn Stone Gallery by art program staff.  Milburn Stone Gallery Exhibit Dates: Monday, November 30, 2015 – Friday, January 29, 2016.  Closing Reception: Friday, January 29, 2016, 5-8pm at the Milburn Stone Gallery  Pick Up at Milburn Stone Gallery: Monday, February 1, 2016, 10-4pm SUBMISSION/GALLERY FEE:  No submission or gallery fee.  Up to five pieces may be submitted free of charge but must meet the requirements specified.  Sculptural work may have additional images that show the side and back view of the piece.  Cecil College Art Program retains 35% of gallery sales, please price work accordingly  All works accepted for the exhibition must be prepared for installation. HOW TO SUBMIT ARTWORK: Provide the following information by August 31, 2015 to [email protected] with your last name_Alumni Art Exhibit in the subject line. You will be notified via email of acceptance status by September 14, 2015. 1. Emailed Requirements a.
