Get Involved in the Valve World Conference 2018! The Valve World Conference 2018 Steering Committee encourages presentations to be made at the event on a wide variety of topics related to valves, actuators and the flow control industry. Experts from all aspects of the manufacture, specification and application of valves are invited to submit an abstract that focuses on a specific topic they would like to present during the conference.

Option 1: Host a Discussion-Based Workshop

Discussions and interaction are an integral part of the Valve World workshop experience, in which panellists give a short 10 minute Power Point to kick-start a discussion. The audience poses questions and joins the discussions in an interactive sharing of ideas and feedback. If you would like to host one of our discussion-based workshops, please submit a 300 word abstract outlining the material you would like to cover to [email protected] by 23rd February, 2018.

Option 2: Present a technical paper Valve experts may present a paper during one of the technical paper sessions. Speakers will be allocated 15 minutes plus 5 minutes question time for their presentation. Moderators will ensure speakers keep to their allocated time and direct questions to the speakers. If you would like to present a technical paper you must submit your 300-500 word abstract outlining the topic and content of your material for consideration by the Steering Committee by 23rd February, 2018. What’s the difference? •A workshop is discussion based and interactive, with a small panel of presenters giving short Power Points then engaging with the audience. •A paper session features several speakers presenting formal technical papers, followed by a short question time.
