Call for Proposals 14th Annual Professors Conference Teaching and Learning Economics in the College Classroom The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis’ Economic Education department requests proposals for concurrent session presentations at its Annual Professors Conference. The 2016 theme is: Educating Students for a Changing World. The conference will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, and will conclude at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4. A reception and dinner will be Thursday evening, and breakfast and lunch will be provided Friday. The conference is free, but all presenters must be registered. Presenters are responsible for their own travel and accommodations. All concurrent sessions, which will be in hour-long blocks, will be on Friday. Audio-visual equipment— including a screen, projector, computer, and sound—is provided in each room. The number of conference attendees typically is 90. Session tracks are:  Educating Students for a Changing Economy  Teaching Challenges and Coping Strategies  Engaging Students in the Classroom  Best Practices in Pedagogy and Assessment  Keeping the Classroom Relevant  Teaching Economics Effectively Online If you wish to submit a proposal to be part of a session, please provide the following information: Presentation title Contact information for the person submitting the proposal and for each additional presenter, including: Name Title Institution name Institution address (City, State, ZIP code) Email address Phone number Presentation information: An abstract of 60 words or less An explanation of how the topic relates to improving undergraduate level economics instruction A description of the practices and materials that will be highlighted in the presentation. Please submit your proposals via email by 5 p.m. July 21, 2016, to Scott Wolla at [email protected]. Proposals will be reviewed by a committee including professors, and you will be notified of selection by Sept. 2.
