About Nocturne: Art at Night is an annual independent festival bringing art and energy to the streets of Halifax and Dartmouth. The festival provides the opportunity to visit the area’s most vibrant art galleries, museums, and cultural organizations for its 30,000 attendees. 2015 will mark the eighth edition of the festival. The Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 explores the theme of immigration to Canada in order to enhance public understanding of the experiences of immigrants as they arrived in Canada, of the vital role immigration has played in the building of Canada and of the contributions of immigrants to Canada’s culture, economy and way of life.
