Worship—Prayers of the People—based on scriptures of the day. We will be using the great litany this Sunday. Old Business:  B&G Updates (Dave)-Update  Rector’s Hall—Int. Dec Recommendations—Sue, Terry, Erik—Met with Elizabeth on Saturday to follow-up on meeting in January. She brought some ideas, we have an updated project overview—Benjamin More Swiss Coffee with Eggshell Finish so it can be washed. Trim work, same color, with satin finish.Satin recommended for heat registers as well. Think about adding a baseboard, chair rail—replace or add, small cove around ceiling, one-inch be better. Can be on custodian’s maintenance check-list to clean (dust) registers. Frames around the windows, leave it the brown or see if you want to paint it with satin. Cabinets-take out double cabinets, put doors on it, storage for chairs on s stands. Take out upper cabinets. Remove—open shelving if anything. Lower cabinet space to go to library. New countertop for inside three-cabinet shelves. Paint doors same as wall-satin finish. Photos, try to put most on wall and replace glass with polarized glass to protect picture. Keep other art work. We need HD monitor on the walls. Nick-better countertop. She recommned doors that swing out vs folding doors. (Decorator cut her fee in half for us.)  Also looking for glass doors (like the rest of building) for outside entrance to Rector’s Hall.  Does everyone agree that these recommendations and expenses are in line with what we want. General acceptance. Nick-recommendation—check about taking heat registers to dealership to sandblast and paint in a booth. Contact Boyce. Check with painter, Mike Askim.

 Leak in Mosque—hot water in youth room went into a disconnected pipe in the Mosque. Stopped up the non-functional hot water pipe. We cleaned the coverings that were dirtied.  Library refresh—Erik has agreed to “lead the charge”. Piano. Sue-update on piano. REN company refurbished grand piano in Memorial Hall. Baldwin Acrosonic console piano. Gift from a parishioner when he passed away. Probably not tuned. No one had been playing it. 20 years ago, $900 to $1,000. No longer tuneable. Not even good for kids to play. Thousands to restore. Probably good for refuse. Nick recommends check with someone else or find someone to use it. Doesn’t pay for the church to do it. Perhaps someone can use it for parts. Also get rid of piano downstairs. Deadline in 2 weeks.  Nick Moves that within 2 weeks Nick and Jessica will have an answer for the Acrosonic. Phil seconded. Unanimously approved. The other piano in the basement can go right away.  Larry—Basement wall and floor—drain spout is draining water which is going into the foundation of the basement. Newspaper report. Holes are in the yard. Water will damage the foundation. Pews are coming apart at the seams. Larry recommends butterflies in back it won’t budge. Approximately. $60 per foot. Glue won’t be enough.  Handicap Entrance Window—No discussion. Installation put on hold due to weather.  Church Sexton—Jeremy Barkei—quick update on scheduling, tasks, etc. He has been doing sidewalk snow removal.  Calvary Merch—Need sign-up sheet on B-Board, make announcements / post to website. (Reserved with 5B, then coordinator of plant sale, sell tickets)  Phil Prior—Addiction Awareness (video tape and put on YouTube)-Phil, one night, 1.5 hours. Phil will do a preview. We need a sign-up after a preview. (12 and over) (sensitive for interactivity)  Lock up – February thru December (See list) Rector’s report From Canon Williams’ talk yesterday on Food for the Poor, Mission Trip through Food for the Poor, building a house $3,600. Years ago we had a parishioner who put out the $3,600 to build a house and we may have matched it. We will float that idea out to the parish in general, 36 people @ $100 each = $3,600.

Volunteer pool for PADS is dwindling. We can consider switching our energies in a different direction if we choose not to continue doing the PADS thing. There are other ministries in Batavia itself. Chip-In (homeless kids) (School System), Fox Valley Christian Church has been working on a project with Chip-in, they pack so many backpacks with food that are taken to schools before the weekend, that way their parents can eat over the weekend. Fox Valley Christian could use extra assistance. There are other ways to be of service that are less taxing and time consuming. Part of 20:20 Need to focus on community. Need a coordinator for Outreach—Nick Hermanny (offered by Jessica) Forming Calvary 20-20: Next meeting — Need to schedule. Saturday, March 3rd, 10:00-12:00 By ourselves without Fr Gregg Need to check with Fr Gregg

Closing—Mission Prayer

Loving God, Through your grace guide us, the people of Calvary Episcopal Church, to joyfully carry out our mission of growing faith in your Son, Jesus Christ. Fill us with your Holy Spirit that we may develop a living faith that deepens our understanding of you and strengthens our awareness of the needs of others. May we be a transforming light within our parish and within the community. All this we ask in the name of your son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen
