Opening Prayer 7:15 PM Fr Mike Treasurer's Report/Financial Reports/Payment of Bills/Transfers/Resolutions  Budget Deficit / $6K loan towards operational expenses—Joe  Will update with Dave returns to work—incomplete report—March Financials will be redone when complete and submitted for approval.  Brandon—we can approve by email when complete. Joe will send it to Brandon.  Short on pledge income. Other Guests:  Erik, Larry, Joe Larry Sipp’s input Some pages are missing in the financial records—September, October, Refrigerator in kitchen needs cleaning—Coils and back—condensar, compressor, water lines—outside scope for Jeremy—Buildings & Grounds Move stove out and clean underneath the stove Furnace and duct work need cleaning—done professionally on an annual basis Fire Department Codes Erik cleaned boiler room Need to clean pew cushions—spots on new chairs Cracks in ceiling—timbers may need clamping Minutes: Review—Nick Moves to Accept; Tommy Seconds, Unanimously Approved Ministry Reports:  B&G Update—See attachments—Stands where it was last month. Window in Handicapped Entrance has been installed. o Waiting on bids—Brian cannot find contractors.

o Can we have BGH finish what they started and look for alternative suppliers for new work? o What resources does Dave Sperry need to be able to search for more contractors? o Fr Mike appreciates the efforts and challenges Buildings & Grounds have been facing. Brandon has specifically gone back and asked for timelines and bids. We have a local cabinet maker that Fr Mike knows. o BR has follow-up work to be done. o Need someone to come to measure windows. Someone did measurements in this room—door? Windows? During Holy Week.  Youth — 4.8.18 Parent’s meeting-See handout o Great idea to have the meeting. Parents appreciated sharing. o Safety—Keeping God’s Children Safe—Adam-available online o Parent’s alternating every Sunday o Youth Group-Activities o Inviting Youth to participate in Church-wide activities o VBS—maybe join with another church o Not another late August VBS o Expanding focus to outside the parish community o Adam does not want to baby sit o Keep kids in mind for future events and outreach o Parents were enthusiastic—Want to meet at least quarterly o One Sunday a month 10:15 service with kids more involved o One Sunday evening a month a youth group o Heather has started a parent’s Facebook Group  Rector’s Hall Refurbishing—Sue o Paint color, countertop-laminate, Shaker-style cabinet door—maple, suggesting chestnut stain window frames, doors to closet also with same stain, 48-inches, lots of edges available—put extra money into window treatments—available at Menards—Cabinets-Medallion-quick turn-around o Window treatments—fabric suggested, fabric at the top, metal on the sides, continuous loop, tie-downs, J.C.Licht in Geneva—around $3,500 for window treatments. o Cabinet on left will be a closet—both stacks of chair will fit o Painting the paneling—water damage on paneling. Need to repair paneling, then paint. o Cabinets—with or without drawers—drawers may help o Stock cabinets o Shaker style—chestnut stain o Nick moved to accept proposal; Sue Seconded; Unanimously approved. o Sue-asked for Vestry to vote to pay designer’s fee of $300. Nick moved. Chelsea Seconded. Unanimously approved. Old Business:  Calvary Hoodies & T’s — update—Brandon—ordered. Small initial order.

o $25 for Hoodies and $15 for T’s.  Pianos — update o Tuning went great. Needs tuning again in a year. Hold on to piano.  Vestry Retreat—Lasalle Manor, Plano IL, Mother’s Day Weekend (May 11th and 12th) $100 per person including meals. Suggested donation is $50.  5B’s BBQ / Plant Sale—May 5th, need somebody to lead the charge. Signs. Tix. Adv. 5B’s price is up only $.15. Charging $13 a box. Recommendation-keep price the same this year. Talk to outreach.  Online ticket sales—tithe.ly  Plant Sale—Christa Keller donating plants; Mulch donated by Craig Keller  Coordinator  Phil Prior—Addiction Awareness, No Change  Women’s Group—Mary is waiting for Rector’s Hall to be refurbished New Business:  Contract agreement with Fr. Gregg—$2,025 for year—March through December o Spiritual Renewal—Vitality—Get people to volunteer, to get involved, we can’t do it alone. Not just survival. We have not been able to get somewhere on our own. o Lots of other churches have this kind of challenge. Investing in our own Spiritual growth. o From last year’s retreat—2 Buckets—worship and small groups. o Fr Mike—We need outside eyes to help us. Invest in our mission.  Outreach Chair — Nick Heiliger—Annual report, brochure, Dave Bald—orient Nick. Check outreach mail box. Monthly Red Bowl collection—2 or 3 members.  Kane County Cougars—Faith Night(s)—Friday, June 15th & Friday, Aug 10th, 6:30 p.m. o $5 ticket—canned food item free admission for upcoming game o Online outreach—Brandon has reserved 50 seats per game  2018 Events Review-Next meeting Rector’s reporto Fr Mike’s input on work with Fr Gregg o Congregational Church-Service this Sunday—Gun Violence Forming Calvary 20-20: o Next meeting — This Saturday, April 14th. 10:00AM to 12:00PM Lock-ups on Sunday o April Lock-up-Sue o October-Nick o November-TBD Welcome, Care, and Comfort-Pattie o Thanks to the Dalmasso’s and Baffe’s for Easter Dinner o Looking for new Chair for this year
