What an exeiting time of the year! Our ineoming Freshmen Open House for students and parents will be Wednesday, February 21, 2018. STUDENT OPEN HOUSE On Wednesday, February 21, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., we will have an open house at Carbondale Community High Sehool for all ineoming freshmen. Students will ride buses to CCHS from their respeetive sehool distriets, take a tour of the building, and hear about what they ean expeet as future high sehool students. Prior to their arrival students will receive folders with a variety of very important infonnation that will prepare them for this day. Parents please bring this folder to parent open house. PARENT OPEN HOUSE- On Wednesday evening, February 21, 2018 our annual ineoming freshman parent meeting will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. in the CCHS auditorium. Sign in will be from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. The primary purpose of the meeting is to give parents general information about our programs, and guidance which will help in determining their student's ninth grade course schedule. Students do not need to attend, but please bring their folder. Parents will begin their visit with department chairs and freshmen teachers for course descriptions from 6:55 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. In addition to these opportunities, our summer programs are a great way for students to familiarize themselves with the high school's facilities, teachers and academic expectations. Further infonnation regarding this summer's programs will be sent to you this spring. There will also be a mandatory orientation in August for all freshmen. Please plan to attend this very important orientation session. I f you have any questions about this day's activities please call the CCHS Principal's Office.
