CARLISLE EVENTS - 2017 Summer Internship Outline We are looking for 10-12 interns who will earn credit hours (if needed). Two of those interns will be chosen as "leaders" based upon interviews and availability and will receive monetary compensation. Assignments will be predominantly during event weeks and weekend work (during events) is required. Internship Available:

mid-May to mid-August (flexible depending on candidate availability)

Responsibilities: Intern will be positioned in various roles supporting the production and presentation of automotive events and related functions. Functions and events may include motorsports activities, parades, judged events, club meets and gatherings, meetings, celebrity appearances, live music and special displays. Roles may include, but not be limited to: Customer service which may include interacting with event participants to corporate clients at connection points of events and event activities. Administration of event activities and event operations; which may include but not be limited to coordination and registration functions of participants and business clients. Project management which may include roles or responsibilities ranging from concept to execution of event activities, programs, contests, giveaways, seminars and entertainment. Data gathering which may include customer surveys and contest management. Event set-up/tear-down and rotation which includes preparing events for activities with supplies and rotating events and activities. You can expect this internship to be a hands-on learning experience that will position you in the execution of nationally recognized events that attract tens of thousands of attendees per event and a season attendance like that of an NFL home schedule. Candidate Requirements: Ideal candidate for this internship will be willing to: Be engaged with activities at hand. Meet, greet and interact with the public. Must be able to present a professional demeanor in a casual environment. Must be willing to work odd hours which may be late, early and event weekends. Generally, eager to learn, work and succeed. Preferred intern candidate would be in a marketing, business, hospitality, sports or similar curriculum with career interests in marketing, public relations, sports, event or venue management. Carlisle Events will work with the candidates’ college or university’s internship requirements to supply the necessary documentation and evaluation to ensure the candidate receives credit for the hours and experience.
