Carsington Water activities zone Boat hire – At Carsington Sports and Leisure, hire a rowing boat for a relaxing trip across the water.

Walking – Don’t forget your walking boots! Carsington Water boasts a variety of scenic walks around the reservoir and beyond.

Cycle hire – Enjoy the fabulous trails around the reservoir by hiring a bike from Carsington Sports and Leisure. There are bicycles and trails for all ages and abilities, allowing you to enjoy action and adventure in picturesque surroundings.

Water sports – Try out action packed sailing, windsurfing or canoeing. Contact Carsington Sports and Leisure for more information.

Fishing – Our well stocked on site fishery provides brown and rainbow trout fly fishing at its best. Boats are available for daily hire. Day fishing passes are available at the Carsington Sports and Leisure.

Wildlife centre – Discover the magic of Carsington’s wildlife, the centre provides information and insights in to the lives of the reservoir’s wildlife residents. Keen bird watchers can get access to the site’s fantastic bird life and update the lists of the latest sightings.

The ‘Water Story’ exhibition is now open! Our fun, interactive exhibition is full of fascinating facts for all of the family to enjoy. Learn about the water cycle – how we clean sewage and produce high quality drinking water. As the exhibition is free to enter you can visit again and again.

recharge your batteries Galley café – The ideal place for a quick bite, the Galley Café provides hot and cold takeaway food beverages and treats. You can take a seat in the courtyard or relax and admire the views across the water, under the canopy of the heated outdoor café.
