THE PLAN OF THE GARDEN AND THE LIST OF FLOWERS Celia Thaxter’s Garden(15 ft. x 50 ft.) is planted similar to the plan in her book AN ISLAND GARDEN. It is very evident in reading Celia’s books that she grew many more plants than are listed on her plan of 1893. Over the years these “other” flowers have made their way back into the garden. The following plan of the garden as it exists today will be helpful in finding the flowers that may be of interest you. Bear in mind that, as the season progresses and as the beds mature, we will endeavor to offer as much color as possible. By doing so, however please note that the plan is always changing slightly and is meant to be used as an approximate guide. Any flowers added throughout the season are flowers that Celia had in her garden one time or another.
