ABOUT THE COURSE This course will cover aspects of workshop design and facilitation skills in an effective, efficient, and appealing way to achieve the intended learning outcomes. Participants will work through a structured process from identifying learning needs to design, develop, deliver, and evaluate learning effectiveness. This is done using a guided discovery and practice process with learning scenarios and problems that participants will bring to the course. Participants will take away various templates, handouts, and jobaids to appreciate the development of learning collaterals. The course provides space and time for learners to reflect, share, and build on their experiences through in-class assignments and discussions.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN Appreciation of ‘how people learn’ and an exposure to basic instructional design principles that will strengthen understanding of designing and facilitating learning experiences Application of these principles and strategies to create a design document and develop learning material Demonstrations of tools and techniques for effective facilitation Understand the methods to evaluate learning

COURSE FACILITATORS
Ramanath Ramanath is a Consultant with Azim Premji University. He brings in 25 years of experience working across multiple businesses in different roles. Prior to joining the University, Ramanath was associated with Wipro as VicePresident. Currently, he works in the area of Personal Effectiveness that includes Instructional Design & Facilitation Skills among several other training programs. He’s also responsible for interfacing with senior officials in the Government & Educational NGOs and help design appropriate interventions.
Bharath
praveen
Bharath has been part of the Learning & Development programs in Education, Govt., IT, and Consulting since 1999. His current interests are pedagogy of Math & Science. As a multipotenialite, he is currently making peace with nonlinear thinking and believes that topics, not subjects, should be central to curriculum design. He currently works with the School of Continuing Education and talks non-stop about the role of competency and trust in leadership.
Praveen is extremely passionate about designing and facilitating effective learning experiences. He brings over 11 years of experience in corporate training, learning architecture, and instructional design. Prior to joining Azim Premji University, he has worked with HSBC Bank, Dell, and Northern Trust Bank, designing & facilitating cutting edge training interventions. Currently, he spends most of his energy and time in helping learning professionals to enhance their craft in terms of design & facilitation.
