Welding Technology Certification Information West-MEC Central Program Students: Pathway to National Center for Construction Education and Research Certification:  Testing Agency: National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) o http://www.nccer.org  West-MEC is currently seeking NCCER approval, upon being granted approval students who successfully complete the West-MEC Welding Technology program will be eligible to test for certifications with NCCER Pathway to American Welding Society S.E.N.S.E. Certification:  Testing Agency: American Welding Society, www.aws.org  Students will have the opportunity to test for Entry and/or Intermediate Level S.E.N.S.E Welding Certification o Students must complete required lab activities under instructor supervision and take the AWS written test on each level.  Current information regarding fees are being gathered, and will be updated as soon as received. Pathway to OSHA-10:  Testing Agency: Occupational Safety & Health Administration, https://www.osha.gov/dte/index.html  Testing Cost: None for West-MEC Students who complete certification through West-MEC  Testing is offered through West-MEC Central Program. Pathway to Snap-On Certification:  Testing Agency: Snap-On Certification, http://www1.snapon.com/Education/Certifications  Testing Cost: None for West-MEC Students who complete certification through West-MEC  Testing is offered through West-MEC Central Program  Certifications can be earned in the following area(s): o Torque o Precision Measurement
