Chief Financial Officer (CFO / IFRS / Portuguese) – Angola An exciting new CFO position has opened up within a large FMCG and Distribution company in Angola. The CFO will be directing and overseeing the company’s Finance & Accounting department by ensuring the development and implementation of all financials and accounts processes, policies, procedures and standards including financial and accounting control, payments, settlements, collections, transfers of funds and management reporting, in accordance with management requirements, regulatory guidelines, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and industry leading practices. Responsibilities:
Networking with the banking sector.
University degree in Business, Banking, Finance, or any other related field. MBA or Masters in Banking/Finance.
Enhancing control while improving efficiency of the finance/accounting department. Monitoring the adherence of employees to the business guidelines, policies and procedures.
Ensuring that the department’s operations are in compliance with local and international laws and regulations, industry standards and contractual agreements. Requirements:
Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations. Proficiency is Portuguese and English to establish business negotiations and reporting. The proficiency in Arabic is an added value. Professional Experience in Angola. More than ten years of related experience in Finance. Networking with the Angolan banks and official organizations. More than two years of prior experience in auditing.
Required Skills:
Efficient delegation of tasks. Problem solving Analytical and conceptual thinking. Project & Portfolio Management. Leading a team of more than 20 staff members. Direct line management experience supervising a minimum of eight managers. Ability to select, develop and motivate necessary management talent to maintain the company’s overall objectives. Strong interpersonal skills such as leadership, communication, persuasion, motivation, loyalty, and openness. Financial orientation, self-starting initiative, cross cultural awareness, organization wisdom and team spirit.
