The list of all Ineligible candidates will also be displayed on GMCH website. No special /separate call letters for the written test / interview will be issued. The written test of multiple objective type questions would be conducted. The result of written test will be displayed on 16-12-2014 on our website. The Roll Nos. of the candidates, who will be called for Interview, would also be displayed on the website on 16-12-2014. The Interview for the post of Senior Resident, RA/RP/CMO will be held on 17-12-2014 and for the post of Demonstrator, EMO, LMO, MO & Junior Resident will be held on 18.12.2014 at 10.00 AM in the office of the Director Principal, Govt. Essential qualifications & experience required as per Central Residency Scheme Postgraduate Medical Degree i.e. (M.D./M.S./M.D.S/ D.M./M.Ch/DNB) OR equivalent in the concerned specialty (recognized by MCI and registered either with Medical Council of India or State Medical Council). If such candidates are not available in any particular speciality, those with postgraduate diploma can be considered. Essential qualifications & experience MBBS (PG degree/ diploma holders shall be preferred)/ M.Sc (Medical) in concerned specialty for non-medical persons from Medical Institute/Faculty for Demonstrators Note: The total marks obtained in all professionals of MBBS alongwith percentage of marks and maximum marks must be mentioned in the application form in the appropriate column.

MBBS (PG degree/ diploma holders shall be preferred) i) MBBS/BDS ii) Registered with Indian Medical Council/State Medical Council. iii) The candidates who have completed/likely to complete their one year rotatory internsiop on or before 31.12.2014, are only eligible to apply.

TENURE OF THE POSTS The above said posts are tenure posts and the appointment will be made maximum for the period of 3 years from the date of joining, being tenure post with no further extension under any circumstances, subject to the condition that in case his/her work and conduct does not found satisfactory at any stage, his/her services shall be terminated without assigning any reason. Senior Residency, if done, in any Central Institution/ Hospital under the Central Residency Scheme, the same shall be counted while working out the tenure of three years so as the maximum period of Senior Residency does not exceed three years. For Junior Resident: The above said posts are tenure posts and will be filled up for a mximum period of one year i.e. upto 31.12.2015 subject to satisfactory performance of their duties. The Junior Residencey, if done, in any Central institution/hospital, the same shall be counted while working out the tenure of one year, so as the maximum period of Junior Residnecy should not exceed one year.

UPPER AGE LIMIT AS ON 01-01-2014

A)

FOR SENIOR RESIDENTS, RESIDENT ANAESTHETIST, RESIDENT PATHOLOGIST & CASUALTY MEDICAL OFFICERS (GENERAL MEDICINE & GENERAL SURGERY): 33 years and in case of post doctoral degree holders is 35 years [Relaxable 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST & Govt. Servants (THROUGH PROPER CHANNEL). In case of widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their Husbands, who are not remarried shall be 35 years (40 years for members of SC).

B)

FOR DEMONSTRATORS, MEDICAL OFFICERS (MO)/ LADY MEDICAL OFFICER (LMO) and EMERGENCY MEDICAL OFFICER: 30 years for MBBS and 33 years for PG degree holder) [Relaxable 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST & Govt. Servants (THROUGH PROPER CHANNEL). In case of widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their Husbands, who are not remarried shall be 35 years (40 years for members of SC).

FOR JUNIOR RESIDENT:The upper age limit shall be 30 years for MBBS/BDS candidates for Junior Residents.

RESERVATION AND RELAXATION: (I) The reservation and relaxation in the upper age limit will be made only for the category of the posts reserved for such categories, as per the instructions issued by the Government of India from time to time. (II) The SC/OBC candidates applying against un-reserved posts are not entitled to any relaxation in upper age limit/application fee. (III) The claim of the candidate to SC/OBC (not BC) categories will be considered only when accompanied by the certificate issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format. Only those OBC category candidates will be considered, whose caste is falling under OBC category in both the Central List and the Union Territory, Chandigarh List. (IV) Age is relaxable for 5 years for SC, 3 years for OBC, 5 years for physically handicapped, 10 years for widows/deserted women/women judicially separated from their husbands, who are not re-married. (V) In case OBC candidates are not available the candidates of General Category can be considered till GMCH does not get a candidate from the OBC category being tenure post. (c) FOR MEDICAL OFFICER (MO) / LADY MEDICAL OFFICER (LMO) & EMERGENCY MEDICAL OFFICER: Pay scale: Rs.15600-39100 carrying grade pay Rs.5400/- + NPA if admissible. d) FOR JUNIOR RESIDENTS: Pay Scale of Rs. 15600-39100/- carrying grade pay of Rs.5400/- + Other Allowances as admissble. 7.

APPLICATION FEE: Application fee of Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- for SC candidates) (non refundable) in the shape of Demand Draft, payable at Chandigarh, drawn in favour of Director Principal, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector-32, Chandigarh alongwith application duly completed should be submitted in the office of the undersigned on or before 08-12-2014 upto 04.00 PM.

Number of Vacancies whether General or Reserve are tentative and can increase or decrease. The candidates belonging to their own category only will be considered against the aforesaid vacancies. The Candidates already in Government service must route their applications through proper channel and also attach NOC from the present employer, failing which their applications shall not be entertained under any circumstances. The persons who have earlier worked in this institute and their services were dispensed with on account of misconduct or otherwise by this institute are not eligible to apply against these posts. Applications for each Post / Department in the prescribed format along-with requisite application fee in form of Demand Draft, and attested copies of educational qualifications, experience, date of birth, character certificate, medical registration certificate with Medical Council of India/ State Medical Council, internship completion certificate, Mark Sheet of MBBS First Prof, Second Prof, Final Prof-Part-I and II, valid Reservation Certificate, ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the present employer alongwith latest photograph should be submitted; otherwise the candidature will be rejected. In case of applying for more than one post/ department, separate application fee will be deposited in form of Demand Draft and the names of the all posts/departments applied for must be mentioned in order of preference in the application format. Incomplete applications/applications received without attested copies of above mentioned certificates and those received after due date will be rejected and no intimation shall be sent separately to such applicants. Applications sent in any other format will be rejected. The applications duly completed in all respects, alongwith the attested photocopies of the certificates/ testimonials and application fee should reach the office of the undersigned on or before 08-12-2014 by 04.00 PM. No TA/ DA will be paid for written test / interview. The candidates who have already completed their tenure of Junior Residency are not eligible to apply. The Junior Residents, who have earlier worked in this institute and their services, were dispensed with on account of misconduct or otherwise by this institute, are not eligible to apply against these posts. Departments will be allotted as per the requirements of the hospital for Junior Residents (MBBS)
