October 2017 Breast Cancer Awareness Month

During the Month of October 2017 Advantage Charter Academy faculty, staff and scholars will raise monies to support efforts for a cure. Our Breast Cancer Awareness Committee will send out a list of activities that will be conducted here at our school. We are asking in advance for 100% participation.

Please contact your scholar’s HR teacher to schedule your conference beginning on Friday, October 13, 2017. Teachers will be available for conferences as of Monday, October 16, 2017 based on the following availability: Monday and Tuesday—7am—4pm Wednesday—7am—7pm Thursday—8am—3pm Report Cards will be distributed at Parent Teacher Conferences. There is NO SCHOOL FOR SCHOLARS ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 19TH AND FRIDAY, OCTOBER 20TH Thank you for your past support of our school. We need your help with this fundraiser so we can continue to make Advantage Charter Academy a great school.

“Real Fathers...Real Men” Breakfast

On Tuesday, September 12, 2017—375+ fathers and their Advantage Scholars attended our “Real Fathers...Real Men” breakfast from 8:30—9:30am. We certainly appreciate our Advantage fathers for their dedication, determination and support! As indicated during the Principal’s Address —Fathers are their daughters first hero and their sons first role model.

Advantage’s Fall Scholastic Book Fair will take place October 23-27, 2017. The fair will be open during the school day for you or your scholar to purchase books. Remember that proceeds from the fair come right back to the our school, thus getting books into our classrooms and into the hands of our students.

Advantage Priorities for 2017-2018

As we enter the month of October 2017, our staff will begin to place a laser eye on our focus areas for the remainder of the year. Achievement…Engagement….Enrollment. With that being said every communication from my office for the remainder of this school year will have a direct connection to our priorities.   

Our School Day—Arrival and Dismissal In order to receive maximum instructional time our Advantage Scholars MUST be in school and on time daily.  School Doors Open—7:45am  Students Must Arrive By—8:00am  Grace Period for Tardies—8:30am Please Note:  After 8:30am parents will meet with principal  Principal will meet with all early dismissals  After 2:30pm please no early dismissals
