DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION CONCERNING A MOTION TO CONVENE IN EXECUTIVE SESSION TO DISCUSS POSITIONS RELATIVE TO MATTERS THAT MAY BE SUBJECT TO NEGOTIATIONS; DEVELOPING STRATEGY FOR NEGOTIATIONS; OR INSTRUCTING NEGOTIATORS AS PERMITTED IN C.R.S. 24-6402 (4)(E) (DFPD)
PURPOSE/BACKGROUND There is a need for the City Council to meet in Executive Session to discuss positions relative to matters that may be subject to negotiations; developing strategy for negotiations; or instructing negotiators as permitted in C.R.S. 24-6-402 (4)(e); as long as the public body takes no formal action during the course of the session.
State Law requires that two thirds of the quorum present must vote in the affirmative in order to convene in Executive Session.

RECOMMENDATION It is the recommendation of the City Manager that the City Council, by motion, convene in Executive Session to discuss positions relative to matters that may be subject to negotiations; developing strategy for negotiations; or instructing negotiators as permitted in C.R.S. 24-6-402 (4)(e).
