This is a message from Robert Schiller, Public Works Director with a message regarding the current snow storm: Staff began snow removal Saturday at 10:00 p.m. and will continue around the clock until the snow stops. Please move your vehicles from ALL SNOW ROUTES - Roosevelt Rd, 16th Street, Cermak Road, 26th Street, Riverside Drive, 31st Street, 34th Street, Ogden Avenue, Pershing Avenue, Harlem Avenue, Oak Park Avenue, East Avenue and Ridgeland Avenue to allow roads to be completely plowed. All residential streets not listed as a snow route will be cleared on your normal street maintenance day. Due to the forecast of additional snow, alleys will begin being plowed after the completion of snow removal from the streets. With the forecast of extreme cold temperatures and high winds this evening, the Mayor’s Office reminds people needing relief to seek shelter at any of the City of Berwyn Warming Center’s. A complete list of locations and hours can be obtained from the City’s website (http://www.berwynil.gov/sites/all/files/pdfs/SeasonalServices/Warming_Centers.pdf), or by calling the Police non-emergency number of 708-795-5600. Additionally, warming center location information is provided on page two of this posting for your convenience.
