FARMERS & MERCHANTS BANK ROBBERY SUSPECT SOUGHT ELK GROVE, CA – The Elk Grove Police Department is asking for the community’s help in locating the person responsible for a bank robbery that took place at the Farmers & Merchants Bank (8799 Elk Grove Boulevard). On January 13th, at approximately 3:15 p.m., the suspect pictured below entered the Farmers & Merchants Bank and approached a teller. The suspect gave the teller a note demanding money. The employee feared for her safety and complied with the demands. After being given an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency, the suspect exited the bank and was last seen walking out of the front entrance. The suspect was described as a Caucasian male, approximately thirty (30) years of age, five feet nine inches tall (5’9”), weighing approx. 200 lbs. The suspect was wearing a dark colored beanie cap and had a mustache and full beard (possibly fake). He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, black work boots, and had clear safety glasses hanging from his neck area. Anyone with information regarding this robbery is asked to call the Elk Grove Police Department Detective Bureau at (916) 478-8060 or Crime Stoppers at (916) 443-HELP (4357). Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.00.
