Climate Change: Subject Profile 25 May 2016 16/41 Dan Barlow This briefing is written for the benefit of both new MSPs and those returning to the Parliament. It provides an overview of the main climate change issues. It highlights the latest climate science, outlines the global, EU, UK frameworks for addressing climate change and focuses on the main legislative and policy provisions in Scotland. The briefing also sets out how emissions in Scotland have reduced to date and some of the ways that climate change issues have been considered in previous parliamentary sessions.
