WELCOME MESSAGE FROM THE HEAD COACH following the Long Term Athlete Development principles, we strive to create a balanced and well-structured program. I am proud of the excellent coaching team assembled at CW, and with the fantastic spirit of the swimmers and the support of the parents and Board of Directors, I feel we are well positioned ( in my eyes,) to be one of the leading programs across the province. A warm welcome back to all of our returning swimmers and staff and a special welcome to our new members! Last year was a fantastic year, with many encouraging performances throughout all levels of the program. Personal bests and winning performances by our swimmers were achieved at Regional, Provincial and National levels. As we go forward with our program, CW is developing into a strong player on the local, provincial, national and world stages. Once again, we are in the strongest division within Ontario and, as such, will need to persist in practicing hard to continue to lift our game, at each level. The CW program prides itself on building exceptional people, (who are also) exceptional citizens and great representatives of both family and community. At CW, swimmers learn excellent values, life skills and discipline. By

The 2013-14 season is the second year of the Olympic Quadrennial, so we will focus on the following events this season: The Western Region Short Course Champs, The Ontario Short Course Festival, The Eastern National Championships, The Ontario Provincial Championships, the Canadian Commonwealth and Pan Pacific Trials, the Pan Pacific Junior Trials, the Western Region 12 & Under Long Course Championships, The Ontario Long Course Festival, as well the Senior National and Age National Championships. While the senior swimmers and National/International competitions are the highest profile events for our program, the Club remains intently focused on growing the 12 & Under competitive program. We now have close to 100 competitive 12 & Under swimmers and we are looking to build our future stars from this program. Led by Head Age Group Coach, and former Olympian, Rob Taylor, and supported by our great coaching staff of Allison Meklensek, Julia Hewitt, Alex Johnson, Sam Johnson, Lexi Meklensek and Jonah Read, CW is well positioned to make its mark on the stage of world swimming. The CW performance system will bring development of the next generation of CW excellence to the forefront as we continue to build toward RIO 2016 and Tokyo 2020. --This is an exciting time for CW! All of our swimmers will experience the wonderful lessons to be learned from being challenged and trained under the tutelage of our dedicated staff, and will share in the excitement of our cutting-edge approach and style. I am truly looking forward to an exciting year. Get on the CW Train and enjoy the ride! Swim Clean to Swim Fast! Coach Chuck Meklensek, Head Coach - Club Warriors
