Lisa was previously a Director at Coursera.com, the world largest massive open online course platform, based in Silicon Valley. Coursera has disrupted higher education by putting content from the world's best schools online, for anyone, for free. Is this the death knell for higher education as we know it? The story is actually a lot more complex.

Lisa Cotton is passionate about how private resources can be used more effectively for public good. She is Co-Founder and CEO of The Funding Network Australia. Prior to that spent 7 years at Social Ventures Australia as Director Social Investment. Lisa is former Chairperson of Documentary Australia Foundation and Board Director of School Aid Trust.

Ben has a number of interests in the not for profit sector, working with organisations in the prevention of youth suicide, anti-human trafficking and Aboriginal development.

Brodie McCulloch is Managing Director of Spacecubed. a coworking, collaboration and innovation community and space at 45 St Georges Terrace, Perth, Western Australia. Spacecubed enables a diverse community of over 550 entrepreneurs, innovators and changemakers to take their ideas to the next level. Spacecubed reduces the barriers for individuals and organisations to get their ideas to market through space, networks, mentoring, accelerators and hackathon’s.

Tracey Horton is currently a Non-Executive Director for SKILLED Group, Navitas Limited and Automotive Holdings Group. In addition to these corporate roles, Tracey participates in community activities as President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WA) and a member of the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Board; Chair of Council of Presbyterian Ladies College; and Chairman of Perth Fashion Concepts Incorporated.

Michelle Coelho is the State Manager for WA of BeyondBank Australia. She is passionate about 'people helping people' which is in line with BeyondBank's vision of providing 'the other way to bank' where 100% of profits are reinvested into the community.

Geoff Pritchard has led several companies through both organic and acquisition channels and as a ‘growth CEO’ is a threetime finalist in the BRW Fast 100 including an 8th place in 2011. Geoff’s experience was developed in global strategy, advisory and private equity businesses across three continents with Fortune 100 businesses, including eight years as CEO of three of Australia’s most successful financial advisory, wealth management and investment businesses. As CEO of the Western Pacific Group he took the company over a two year period from a valuation of $1.2 million to being listed at a valuation above $100 million. Geoff is the co-founder of Go Capital, a strategy consulting, corporate advisory and private equity business and Innovation Bay in Perth, Western Australia with a key focus in the technology sector and bringing technology entrepreneurs and angels together.

Jenna Palumbo brings a wealth of experience in finance and management. Her expertise includes social impact bonds, policy advocacy, corporate finance and corporate strategy. Jenna has held positions with Big Society Capital, Social Finance UK, Azure Capital and KPMG Corporate Finance, as well as advisory roles with a number of not for profit organisations and impact investing funds in Australia and the UK. Jenna is currently the WA Director for Social Ventures Australia.

Jemma Green worked as an investment banker at J.P. Morgan’s London office in the early 2000’s and was chosen o help setup J.P. Morgan’s Global Environmental and Social Risk Management Office. It was during her work here that she began to realise the full potential for increasing ethics and responsibility in corporate organisations. In 2013, Jemma left J.P. Morgan and returned to Australia to set up The Green Enterprise. Jemma is also a Research Fellow and PhD candidate at Curtin University, on the advisory board of Carbon Tracker and a founding board member of Future Super, Australia’s first fossil fuel free superannuation fund.

Dwight Clark has spent over 15 years providing advice to a small number of clients (successful individuals, their family groups and not-forprofit organisations), with specialties in the areas of Taxation, Superannuation, Philanthropy & Social Enterprise, Wealth Security and Succession planning.

Vicky Dodds has had a 20 year career in fundraising, philanthropy and communications in museums, science, health and the higher education sector. She currently works with a range of not-for-profits providing support and advice on strategy, stakeholder engagement, fundraising, philanthropy and communications.

For the last six years Katie has been immersed in the social enterprise field both internationally and locally. She uses her background in education, social process design and resource development to find the most useful tools and design processes for social entrepreneurs. Katie is passionate about developing a strong eco-system to foster social impact.

How it Works The pitch competition is open to social businesses in start-up or early growth phase, who can clearly identify a social and/or environmental mission, their target market, and how they plan to scale their business and also a measurable impact. Interested teams should read the pitch event particulars document, prepare a two-minute pitch video, and submit their entries via the Mustard Seed website. All teams are welcome to the final pitching event on May 14.

How Mustard Seed Invests Mustard Seed cares about your motivations: Why are you starting a company? From the final event, the Mustard Seed Investment Committee will select the Top 5 Finalists for consideration (the Audience will select one of these finalists.) There is no guarantee of investment. Mustard Seed typically invests between $100,000 and $800,000 and provides significant support toward scaling through its global member network.
