The European Union Committee The European Union Committee of the House of Lords considers EU documents and other matters relating to the EU in advance of decisions being taken on them in Brussels. It does this in order to influence the Government’s position in negotiations, and to hold them to account for their actions at EU level.

Progress of Scrutiny This document records decisions taken on EU documents sent to the Committee for scrutiny. Details of the Committee’s current work and planned meetings are in the Committee Bulletin, available online at: http://www.parliament.uk/documents/lords-committees/lordscommitteebulletin.pdf. Documents without a Council number are listed as “ONTYR” (Official Text Not Yet Received) with the date of the explanatory memorandum.
