VISION The end of homelessness in Arizona. MISSION To serve as a leader in the efforts to end homelessness in Arizona through advocacy, education, and coordination with local communities.
Communications and Development Coordinator The Arizona Coalition to End Homelessness is a statewide organization with a mission to be the leader in efforts to end homelessness through advocacy, education, and coordination with local communities. The Arizona Coalition seeks a motivated full-‐time Communications and Development Coordinator. The Communications and Development Coordinator will work under the supervision of the Executive Director. The position’s primary responsibility is to communicate the agency’s mission and operations to generate financial resources needed for the long-‐term development of the organization. Salary range is $40,000 to $45,000. Development: ▪ Create and implement annual fundraising campaigns, programs and events, including the following: o In conjunction with the Executive Director, engage Board members in the fundraising process o Create and articulate the fundraising case for support o Produce donor solicitation materials and donor funding proposals. o Lead, manage and implement fundraising event planning and logistics; organize, empower and motivate volunteer committees and provide leadership on event-‐days o Plan and implement production of contracts, printing, mailings, corporate and donor correspondence, event program and day-‐of-‐the-‐event activities o Obtain sponsors and attendees to support the overall fundraising budget o Manage direct mail campaigns (membership drive) ▪ Build and manage the donor relationship process, including the identification, engagement, solicitation, and stewardship of individual, corporate, and foundation gifts ▪ Manage the grant process. Research, prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to foundation and corporate sources. ▪ Work to build the functionality of a donor database. Enter donor related data and critical comments into the donor database. Communications: ▪ Lead and manage marketing and communication efforts related to the Arizona Coalition’s mission to promote an end to homelessness ▪ Create and implement strategies aimed at the recruitment of new members and retention of current members. ▪ Attends community events, promoting AZCEH and highlighting the benefits of membership to the public. ▪ Creating presentations for AZCEH and each of its special initiatives for use by all presenters for external speaking engagements, and assuring the look of the presentations align with the website. ▪ Manage development of collateral materials related to AZCEH including events and communication pieces, invitations and programs, monthly newsletters, mass email and annual strategic plan ▪ Manage website content for www.azceh.org and www.arizonastanddown.org. 3829 N. ▪ Manage social media for AZCEH on platforms including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Research communication strategies on other platforms such as Instagram, Pinterest and future platforms, if appropriate ▪ Develop and manage communications strategy to highlight AZCEH member agencies and help promote community activities and meetings. ▪ Highlight members’ activities on social media platforms. Follow the produced news of our member’s and share information accordingly across all venues ▪ Disseminate information on local, state, and federal best practices, legislation of impact, and issues of concern to interested stakeholders ▪ Serve as initial contact for media and issue press releases Qualifications: ▪ A bachelor's degree in business, marketing or nonprofit leadership with fundraising experience. Other experience includes, but is not limited to, public relations, prospecting, business development and negotiation ▪ Working knowledge of fundraising principles, procedures and techniques ▪ Experience maintaining stewardship contacts with donors ▪ Experience writing grant proposals ▪ Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills as well as creativity and resourcefulness ▪ Strong technical, administrative and operations skills ▪ Networking and relationship building ability ▪ Persuasive writing, strong verbal communication and the ability to interact at the executive level and represent the organization’s mission effectively to diverse constituents and the public ▪ Adept in the use of social media in fundraising and marketing ▪ Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule dependent on fundraising or marketing activities. ▪ Experience with volunteer management ▪ Ability to work well independently and as an integral part of a small team in a fast-‐paced environment ▪ Proficiency Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe InDesign, Google Apps AZCEH is an equal opportunity employer.
