Readington Spring Field Hockey League The Readington Spring Field Hockey League is open to girls from 2nd – 8th grade. Girls are separated into age/level appropriate groups. Sessions will start in April (weather permitting) and will run Tuesdays and Thursdays at Corn Huskers Park in Readington from 6:00-7:00 pm until the end of May. All training will be done by a USA Field Hockey Level 2 coach and assistant coaches. Sessions will include developmental skills followed by age/level appropriate scrimmages within our league and also within local area teams. There will be no weekend sessions. Parent Enrichment Evening Attention Parents! Join Readington teachers and your fellow parents for our 3rd annual Parent Enrichment Evening. Here’s your chance to hear from Emily Bengels about her powerful visit to Auschwitz, learn literacy strategies you can use at home, hear about the upcoming PARCC assessments, and roll up your sleeves for some fun science experiments. Hunterdon Central STEM Community Consortium The Hunterdon Central community is invited to join in the creation of a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Community Consortium. Shannon Daley Charity Basketball Event The 14th Annual Shannon Daley Memorial Fund Charity Basketball Event will be held on Wednesday, March 4, at 7 p.m. in the Hunterdon Central Fieldhouse. “Reflections 2015” Fashion Show The 2015 National Champion Hunterdon Central Varsity Cheerleaders will be hosting their Annual “Reflections 2015” Fashion Show on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. at JP Case Middle School. This year the funds of the event will be donated to “The Drew O’Donoghue Fund”, supporting the fight against adrenal cancer and assisting those afflicted by it. Please come and support the cause and see the girls model the most up to date prom fashions for 2015. Tickets are $10 at the door.

Readington Teachers vs. Readington Police Officers Basketball Game Come cheer on members of the Readington faculty as they compete against Readington Township police officers in a high-spirited basketball game on Friday, March 20 in memory of Mark Cleere. Stanton Learning Center Activities  

YMCA 2nd Grade “Learn to Swim” Free Program The Hunterdon County YMCA is offering a free “Learn to Swim” program to any Hunterdon County second grader who is a non-swimmer or beginner level swimmer. Classes run March 2 – April 19. For more information, click here.

NJIT Early College Preparatory Programs The Center for Pre-College Programs at the NJ Institute of Technology (NJIT) offers a series of summer programs for high achieving students from post-fourth to post-eleventh grades. The programs are designed to encourage and prepare students to succeed in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The application deadline is March 23, 2015. Boys Lacrosse Skills and Drills Clinic Hunterdon Central Boys Lacrosse coaching staff and varsity team plays will hold their 7 th annual spring Skills and Drills Clinic on Sunday, March 15. Session 1 (for boys in grades 2-4) will be held 1:30-2:30 p.m.; session 2 (for boys in grades 5-8) will be held 2:30-4:30 p.m. For more information and the registration form, click here.

Girls Lacrosse Spring Skills & Drills Clinic Hunterdon Central Girls Lacrosse Head Coach Jill Nealon and players are hosting their annual youth clinic on Sunday, March 15, 2015. The clinic will be held on the turf field at Hunterdon Central. Session 1 is open to girls grades 2 through 4, 10:00-11:00 a.m., registration begins at 9:45 a.m. Session 2 is open to girls grades 5 through 8, 11:00 a.m-1:00 p.m., registration begins at 10:45 a.m. This clinic is open to all levels of experience including those that are trying the sport for the first time. Hunterdon Horizon Girls Basketball Spring AAU Program Hunterdon Horizon is soliciting interest for its Spring 2015 basketball program. The program will start at the beginning of April and end by the middle of June. Players currently in 5th through 8th grade are eligible for the program. Practices will be twice a week and the teams will play in 4 tournaments from April through June (to be adjusted by age group). Cost of the program runs about $550-600. Substitute Teacher, Nurse and Aide Opportunities Now Available Are you looking for employment that provides a flexible schedule? Would you like to get more involved with the school community? We Need Substitute Bus Drivers! Would you be interested in helping our school community while earning some extra household income? We are looking for bus driver substitutes. To qualify, you must obtain a Commercial Driver’s License with school bus and passenger endorsements. If you have that, it's a plus; if not, we will train you. A clean driving record is required. Readington Baseball Registration for 2015 Season Now Open Online registration is now open for the 2015 season for the Readington Township Junior Baseball League (RTJBL). Visit www.readington-baseball.com for more information. After several successful inter-league games last season, Tewksbury Township has agreed to join with RTJBL for the 2015 season. The combined league will have about 450 players and will allow for more teams in each division, expanded playoffs, and more travel team opportunities. We have seven levels of play: Little Sluggers (tee-ball), Rookie-1 (1st grade), Rookie-2 (2nd grade), Minors, Major 60, Major 70 and Babe Ruth. The season generally runs from mid-April to the third week of June. Practices usually start in late March, weather permitting. Teams play a full 14-16 game schedule, with playoffs and championship games held in our Minors, Major 60, Major 70 and Babe Ruth Divisions.
