COMMVAULT A600 WITH NETAPP CABLING GUIDE The Commvault A600 with NetApp is available in different capacity and configuration options. Depending on the number of optional disk shelves that are installed, the system can be cabled differently to optimize performance. The diagrams below illustrate the optimal cabling configuration for single and multiple disk shelf configurations. Note that the system ships with the following cables:  The server ships with 4 Ethernet cables and 2 Mini SAS HD cables  The server ships with two C13-UL power cords and two C13-C14 Jumper Cords  The NetApp 2712 does not ship with cables.  The first DE1600 ships with 4 Mini SAS cables.  The second and beyond DE1600s ship with two Mini SAS cables.  The Fibre Channel HBA is included in the Commvault A600 for optional production storage or SAN for VSAbased backups or snapshots.

Single Optional Disk Shelf The diagram below illustrates the optimal performance configuration for only two disk shelves.

“Typical Power” represents the amount of power needed to provide the necessary airflow to keep systems cool under normal operation at a typical operations environment (e.g., 25C). These values are measured at 65% of fan duty cycle. “Max Power” measured at a fan duty cycle of 100%, meaning that the fans are running at full speed in order to keep the system components cool during operation. These value represent the maximum/worst case power requirements of the system.
