At WimTec, we‘ve taken the next step and have redefined the concept of „comfortable water taps“. Our advantage through innovation. Research. We conduct fundamental research and pursue a clear objective: to create new impulses for operation, comfort and hygiene. Our numerous patents and regular trail-blazing innovations have confirmed this strategy. Just like our capacitive sensor technology, which has opened up a new dimension in user comfort and has been reliably implemented for the first time worldwide in SanTec‘s taps.
Development. Research and development is more than a process at SanTec. It is a conviction. We subject our hardware and software to harsh reality from the very first stages of their development – from extreme temperatures in our climatic chamber, to detailed feedback from test users and the constantly changing demands of the market. The result: taps that withstand the test of time, day in, day out.

Nowadays, the value of a water tap is determined by how intelligent and functional its controls are. That is the approach that WimTec takes. Our know-how and our endeavours to invent and incorporate electronic innovations are the basis of our company and its independent market profile. Each step in the development and manufacture of our products is carried out in-house. This ensures that our greater electronic know-how is passed on as greater value to both our products and our customers.
Our core competence: electronics. A flexible SMD line is connected to the heart of all SanTec taps - their multi-layer printed circuit boards - precisely linked with the electronic components. The microprocessors are then programmed according to the customer‘s specific software requirements and each individual component is continually inspected during the process.

Organised projects. Our modern and efficient manufacturing process dispenses with assembly lines. It relies instead on experienced and flexible production teams, which share the responsibility for all the manufacturing steps according to the individual product groups. That is how we produce large batches as efficiently as we manufacture individual orders according to specific requirements, always at a high level of quality and with short lead and delivery times.
Maximised quality. Decades of uncomplaining use, frequently under arduous „normal“ operating conditions: Withstanding the harsh conditions in our own testing labs, our water taps have long proven themselves able to deliver what the market demands. And none of them leave our factory without having their functional activity and watertightness thoroughly tested.

Herbert Wimberger founds WimTec, with the aim of developing and manufacturing future-oriented electronic devices. The revolutionary SanTec MICRO control system is awarded the Austrian Umweltzeichen (Eco-Label), in addition to the Innovation Award. The conclusion of export cooperation agreements doubles WimTec‘s sales. The current factory building is built and in 2006 it is expanded to include the „Freiraum“ competency centre, comprising more than 3,000 m². WimTec becomes a strong system provider by offering our own installation system, SanTec FIX. WimTec‘s comprehensive field sales team improves the consultation services for designers, merchants and contractors. WimTec creates innovative standards for user comfort with products based on capacitive sensory systems. The Austrian Business Association names Herbert Wimberger „Entrepreneur of the Year 2010“ for his business achievements. WimTec joins the ranks of certified Leading Companies and receives the badge „Leitbetrieb Austria“. For its corporate social responsability WimTec was honoured with the TRIGOS award in the category employment. For the development of the world‘s unique AquaCapSense WimTec received the innovation award in lower austria.
