DAY 1: ACCRA – MT. AFADJATO, & TAGBO FALLS
VOLTA ECO-ADVENTURE WEEKEND TOUR 2 DAYS / 1 NIGHTS
Pickup from central location in Accra. You will embark on a scenic drive through the coastal savanna of the Accra plains to the Volta Region You will cross the most attractive bridge in Ghana known as the Adome Bridge. The bridge was strategically built by Ghana’s first president to serve as a link to Ghana in order to attract votes from the then Trans Volta Togoland (now the Volta Region) to be part of Ghana. Depart for a drive to the foot of Afadjato mountain which is approximately 885m above sea level (2905ft). We shall climb to the highest peak in Ghana, without climbing gear. You will be rewarded with spectacular views of the savannah and vegetation for miles and miles. Drive to Ho overnight.

Breakfast will be served at your hotel. Early morning departure for Wli Waterfalls. Enjoy a hike through lush greenery of the Agumatsa Forest Reserve where you will cross the same river eleven times to reach the breathtaking falls. Continue on to Tafi Atome, a village that has practiced conservation as a culture by keeping their monkeys sacred. You will have the rare and exciting experience of witnessing these endangered animals in large numbers as they live in perfect harmony with the local people. You will be able to watch in awe as the monkeys playfully grab bananas and scamper back into the forest. Depart for the drive back to Accra after your exciting eco adventure.

CLOTHING You will be doing lots of walking, we recommend light weight casual clothing, comfortable shoes and a hat to protect you from the sun’s rays. We also recommend you bring along insect repellent. If you would like to swim, bring along a bathing suit to enable you take advantage of the pool at the waterfall.
FOOD We suggest that you bring along snacks, soft drinks and water for the trip, you will spend some time on the road. You can bring along lunch, or purchase lunch when the vehicle makes brief stops on the journey. The menu at the guest house offers a variety of local Ghanaian dishes and continental cuisine.
PHOTOGRAPHY Some people do not mind being photographed, while others greatly enjoy it. If you would like to take pictures of people you encounter, please consult your guide if you want to take a photograph.
