North London Line Middleton Press 2007. Vic Mitchell and Keith Smith The unique route has had three types of electrification, a great variety of freight traffic, official and local vandalism and after years of neglect, much of it has been upgraded as an international route. Potters Bar to Cambridge Middleton Press 2006. Vic Mitchell and Alan Mott The historic main line between Potters bar and Hitchin has seen many changes of traction, architecture and track layout. Forty Years of a Norfolk Railway: William Marriott The reminiscences of William Marriott from 1884 to 1924 An A4 size soft back booklet, which consists of 40 a map of the M&GN system on the inside of the covers. This book is a first hand account by William Marriott of the trials and tribulations of building and running of what was essentially a country railway. With some previously unpublished photographs, the book is a historical railway document, which also gives valuable glimpses into the social and moral attitudes of the day.
