From the visitor centre head out following the yellow waymarkers. As you approach the first Owl sculpture, you’ll see the soft orange and yellow hues Abbotts of theWood beech trees. Take & Cradle Lane a moment to sit on the bench here and admire the stunning colours around you. When you’re ready to continue, follow the path round to the right where you will be surrounded by beautiful beech and rowan trees. There are also a few pine trees along the path, so take a deep breath in to enjoy the fragrant air, feel the breeze on your face, and become truly aware of your surroundings.

As you continue along the forest path, you’ll see it begin to open up, allowing more light to flood into the forest. Why not take a moment to enjoy the dappled light and listen to the wildlife in the forest surrounding you?

The trail finishes under a young oak tree, its leaves a vivid orange and brown mix. To head back to the car park, follow the path as it winds gently through the woodland back to where you started.
