Ø (www.krudttonden.dk) Copenhagen Theatre Circle (CTC) is proud to announce its third annual Fringe Festival. The Fringe Festival will showcase short theatrical pieces from up-and-coming writers, directors and actors, and embraces the international diversity present in Copenhagen’s art scene. This year’s festival features ten different plays, presented by thirteen directors, from all genres, including comedy, drama, dance, storytelling, musical, and psychological thriller. Eight of the plays are original scripts, written or adapted by the directors themselves. As the leading English-language theatre group for amateurs in Copenhagen, CTC welcomes a diverse collection of international talent. This year’s directorial talent pool spans continents, with directors from Denmark, Sweden, Finland, France, Spain, the Netherlands, the UK, the USA, Canada, Turkey, the Philippines, and Tanzania. Over thirty actors make up the ensemble cast, representing even more global variety. “This year is definitely on track to be the best Fringe Festival yet,” says Rachel Kador, organizer of this year’s festival. “I’m overwhelmed by the talent we have this year, representing so many different facets of the performing arts. It’s clear that there are a lot of amazing artists in this city looking for a stage, and we’re proud to host them.” The three-day festival has a different line-up each night, so every day offers an opportunity to see all-new performances. This year, for the first time, the CTC is offering awards for Best Director, Best Actor/Actress, Best Original Script, and Best of Fest. Audience members will be able to vote for their favorite show to win, so come one, two, or all three nights and decide for yourself!

TRANSPORT There is limited street parking near the venue, although there is underground parking for 130 cars accessible from the corner of Serridslevvej and Gunnar Nu Hansens Plads, beside the theatre. Be aware, however, that there can be great demand for parking in connection with events in nearby Fælledparken or the National Stadium (Parken). We would therefore recommend taking public transport. The nearest S-train station is Nordhavn. The venue can easily be reached by buses 1A, 14, 40 and 401. ABOUT COPENHAGEN THEATRE CIRCLE This English-speaking group of theatre enthusiasts has been providing Copenhagen audiences with performances and events in English for almost 50 years. The CTC is open to all who have an interest in being on stage, working behind the scenes, and supporting in numerous other ways. CTC presents 2–3 stage productions for the general public each year and also hosts play readings and other theatre and acting-related events throughout the season.
