Course Introduction to Watercolor Painting | Kids & Teens: experience the true magic of watercolor by letting children experiment with ways of introducing different techniques to a painting. Students will work from photographs and actual objects to learn how to draw and paint with watercolors. They will work on a wide variety of watercolor techniques including wet on wet, dry on dry, glazing salt, making different textures, tissue, crayon, splatter, transparency, resist technique and masking fluid among others. Sorour Amini is an adjunct lecturer at IAU, Dubai. She holds a BA in Handy Crafts and an MA in Painting from Art and Architects University in Iran. Sorour is an experienced teacher, a design geek and an avid artist with more than ten years’ experience in teaching arts, handy crafts and painting to both children and adults. She has been actively organizing and managing arts workshops, galleries and exhibitions. Sorour is originally from Iran and currently lives happily with her husband in Dubai. She is fluent in both English and Farsi.

Type of course: ongoing | Age: 8 – 14 Timing and Duration: 4 consecutive sessions | 2 hours each | Mondays | 4 – 6 pm Fee: AED 460, 4 sessions | AED 650, 6 sessions | AED 850, 8 sessions | AED 150, a trial class. (Materials are available at DUCTAC’s Art Materials Shop and will approximately cost AED100 for a foursession course. The tutor will guide you through the required materials for each project).
