Fire Team Member Oil & Gas FTMO INCIDENT RESPONSE IR The content of ERGT’s Fire Team Member Oil & Gas (FTMO) course covers operate a breathing apparatus for work tasks and emergency response, and undertake fire control and emergency rescue internal and external to buildings and structures. This course is essential for personnel who are required to operate a breathing apparatus whilst undertaking fire control and emergency rescue while working in the resource industry sectors. In alignment with industry expectations and to ensure ongoing competence and capability ERGT recommends skills maintenance be conducted every 2 years.

STRUCTURE & ASSESSMENT This course is delivered through classroom presentations (including audio-visual material), activities and participant discussion as well as practical components responding to a range of minor and major fire incidents. Trainees will demonstrate their competence through direct observation, oral &/or written assessment & practical exercises.

CERTIFICATION Upon successful completion trainees will be issued with a Statement of Attainment in: - MSMWHS216 Operate breathing apparatus (Conduct pre-donning checks anbd tests on breathing apparatus, use breathing apparatus and conclude operation, conclude operations in accordance with procedures). - PMAWHS213 Undertake fire control and emergency rescue (Respond to identified fire emergencies, deploy fire emergency equipment and undertake search of and rescue of affected areas).
