Grade C £15,621 - £17,583 FTE (Pay award pending) 37 hours per week as part of a shift pattern We require someone with enthusiasm and initiative, who is a good team player, to assist with the maintenance of the buildings, grounds and equipment on the site. Ideally you will have a good basic level of practical skills to enable you to carry out minor repairs to buildings and equipment. You will be required to ensure that the highest standards of cleanliness and health and safety are maintained at all times. You will carry out and record various health and safety checks, apply policies and procedures throughout the school, as directed by the Senior Site Manager. A full clean driving licence is essential. ICT skills are desirable but not essential as training will be given. Crestwood College is amalgamating with Quilley School in September 2016 providing one secondary school for Eastleigh across two sites. By 2020 the number on roll is expected to be 1500 students located on both sites. This role is predominantly based at the Cherbourg Road campus (currently Quilley School), but the post holder may be required to work occasionally on the Shakespeare Road campus as directed by the Senior Site Manager. Cleaning

Develop and operate a programme of the site. Ensure site cleanliness meets standards, monitoring performance and raising issues with the contractor (where private contractor engaged).

Maintenance

Access requirements for maintenance and instigate repairs where appropriate. Report more complex requirements to line manager. Detest building and fabric defects. Assess need for and allocate contracts. Record meter readings to monitor energy consumption and identify problems.

Supervision of contractors

Engage contractors and monitor performance, raising issues as appropriate with line manager. Liaise with HCC regarding specialist cleaning and maintenance.. Meet with various County Depts to provide input to new developments and on going changes

Management of use of site

Liaise with users of the site over their needs. Oversee the use of site by hirers, lettings etc.
