The latest project from Sydney-based developer Crown Group, the $395-million Waterfall by Crown Group is set to revolutionize the use of green space in Australian residential developments. Located 5km from Sydney’s Central Business District on O'Dea Ave Waterloo, the development will include four buildings, 331 apartments, vertical gardens, a rooftop infinity pool, a cantilevered gym, a function and dining room, a music room, private rooftop gardens, retail outlets and a rooftop lounge with spectacular views of Sydney. True to its name – Waterfall by Crown Group will include a cascading water wall; stretching 22 metres or seven storeys tall. The three never-before seen images released at the weekend reveal a rainforest-inspired bamboo-covered walkway, a private rooftop lounge and balconies designed to take full advantage of the stunning views. Crown Group CEO Iwan Sunito said the vision for Waterfall by Crown Group was to create a green revolution in Sydney’s architecture. After selling more than $380 million worth of apartments at the recent launch of its award-winning Green Square project, Infinity by Crown Group; Crown Group has gained a reputation for pushing the boundaries of residential design to create landmark environments in Sydney’s best locations. “With Waterfall by Crown Group we set out to revolutionize the use of green space in residential developments; breaking away from tradition cater for people looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle,” Mr Sunito said. “It is everyone’s desire to find a place of escape; a place of tranquility. “Waterfall by Crown Group provides a sense of place, where people can feel both a connection with nature and the urban environment at once,” he added. Designed by Sydney-based architects SJB, the project as a whole aims to provide residents more engagement with nature via natural materials, a tranquil lagoon, mature trees, outdoor retreat areas and rooftop gardens. Crown Group will also build a new public park adjacent to the development and will dedicate this area to the community. “Our vision is for the buildings to feel like an extension of the green space; a place where residents can relax and breathe,” Mr Sunito said. Earlier this year Crown Group announced international supermodel Paula Verhoeven as the face of the project, after the catwalk star arrived for a video shoot in Sydney. Located in the City of Sydney’s Green Square urban renewal area the second fastest growing demographic area of Sydney, the Waterloo – Zetland area almost doubled in population from 2001-2011 and the Bureau of Statistics estimates its population increased by a further 10% from 2013-2014.
