Professional Development Workshop Instruction Cybersecurity is a growing and rapidly changing field, and it is crucial that the central concepts that frame and define this increasingly pervasive field are understood by professionals who are involved and concerned with the security implications of Information Technologies (IT). The CSX Fundamental Course is designed for this purpose, as well as to provide insight into the importance of cybersecurity, and the integral role of cybersecurity professionals. Designed as a foundational course, it will also prepare attendants for the CSX Cybersecurity Fundamentals Exam.

Prior to the current role Freeman has over 25 years of IT experience in world-class banking, financial institutions and multinational corporations, including Standard Chartered Bank, Unisys and NEC. He has proven track records of delivering quality IT security services to HKSAR government departments, leading banks and financial institutions in Asia Pacific. Freeman is well-versed with compliance and regulatory requirements of HKMA, SFC, MAS, SEC, and PCI. He applies international standards and the industry best practices in various assignments. He successfully reviewed large-scale banking projects on security measures of authentication and authorization, architectural design, security standards, and secure network design. He has performed penetration tests for leading enterprises in the region. Freeman delivers training courses of cybersecurity, hi-tech crime investigation, incident handling and IT security management at ISACA, universities, professional bodies and leading training institutes in Hong Kong, Macau and China. Actively involved in research and teaching of cybersecurity, he has been teaching CISM for ISACA since 2011 and CSX since 2015. He is the holder of Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in Risk, Information Systems Control (CRISC) and CSX Cybersecurity Nexus of ISACA; Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) of (ISC)2; ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, ISO 20000 Auditor, ISO 20000 Practitioner, Certified Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI) of EC-Council; Advanced Cloud Security Auditing for CSA STAR Certification, Committee Member of ISACA of HK/China Chapter, Member of OWASP, Member of ISA-99 and Master degree in Information Systems.
