CO-DEFENSIVE

SPECIAL TEAMS

Mike White, Marist

Christian Searles, Dayton

Drew Bevelhimer, Butler

White accounted for all six touchdowns in Marist’s 44-41 PFL overtime victory at Morehead State, Saturday. He completed 18-of-31 passes for 377 yards and threw five touchdowns, including a 32-yard game-winner in overtime – one of four touchdown passes covering 20-plus yards on the day. White also had nine carries for 36 yards, including a 21yard touchdown run for Marist’s first score of the game. His six touchdowns are the most a PFL quarterback has been responsible for in a game this season. In addition, his 413 total offensive yards are the second most in a single outing across the league this season. White’s effort also made Marist wide receiver Juston Christian the first wide receiver to amass 200plus receiving yards (217) this season.

Searles intercepted three passes to help Dayton pick up a 36-16 PFL victory at Jacksonville, Saturday. He is the third FCS defender to pick off three passes in a game this season and tied the Dayton record for interceptions in a game. Searles’ interceptions came in the first, third and fourth quarters. In the first quarter, he had an interception to end a Jacksonville drive and a pass breakup that halted another to keep Dayton in the game. Searles third-quarter pick came on a 47-yard Jacksonville pass attempt. In the fourth quarter, he intercepted a pass and returned it eight-yards to the Dolphins 25-yard line, setting up a Flyers field goal that set the final score. Searles also had two tackles and returned three punts, averaging 14.3 yards per return.

Bevelhimer hit two fourth quarter field goals to help Butler gain a 20-17 PFL victory at Davidson, Saturday. He hit an 18-yard field goal midway through the fourth to tie the game. Bevenhimer then nailed a 29-yard field goal as time expired to deliver the win. He also connected on a pair of PATs, finishing the day with eight points. It is the third time this season he has hit a pair of field goals in a game as he improved to 8-for-10 on field goals this season.
