Council posts materials for December 17 meeting

The Delta Stewardship Council (Council) has posted all the materials for the December 17 meeting. Also, the Council has posted two reports from the November 19 meeting: a staff report on Single-Year Water Transfers and the Delta Plan and the Delta Independent Science Board Report: Flows and Fishes in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, Research Needs in Support of Adaptive Management.

SWRCB order protects fish, Delta salinity, and public health, safety

The State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) has approved an order that largely upholds protections for municipal water supplies and fisheries put in place earlier this year. The order intends to ensure that catastrophic fisheries declines do not continue, salinity control is maintained in the Delta, and that adequate minimal supplies for health and safety purposes are preserved. The Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) Delta Regional Monitoring Program (Delta RMP) Steering Committee will meet December 18 in Rancho Cordova.
