Honoured Members of CALL About: Any person who has made an outstanding contribution to the advancement of law librarianship may be proposed for honoured membership. Nominations for such membership shall be submitted to the Immediate Past President for consideration of the Executive Board at its next regular meeting. If the Immediate Past President is not serving on the Executive Board, nominations shall be submitted to the Treasurer. Nominees deemed by the Board to have met the necessary criteria shall be awarded honoured membership if elected by a two-thirds vote at an annual meeting of the Association or by a majority of those voting in a mail ballot. Nominations should be in the hands of the Past President of CALL/ACBD by November 1 of the year prior to the Annual General Meeting at which the name of the honouree would be proposed. This allows for the gathering of testimonials and letters of support to be considered by the Executive Board in reaching a decision to recommend. The nomination should include a brief description of the individual's career, with particular emphasis on their contribution to the Association (where relevant) and to the profession at large. It should also, where possible, provide the names and addresses of persons wishing to support the nomination, offer testimonials, etc.
