About the Author Wendy Rosenberg was a special education teacher with many years of experience as a teacher and as a poet. She became a Certified Applied Poetry Facilitator through the National Federation of Biblio/Poetry Therapy, and was a member of the National Association for Poetry Therapy. She received training as an Expressive Art Education Facilitator. Wendy was also KaizenMuse creativity coach and a Reiki master. Widely published in numerous journals, Wendy was also active in poetry readings and was a popular workshop presenter. Her first book, In the Waiting, was published by Finishing Line Press in 2014. Wendy was a founder of the Westfield Poetry Group (along with Joe Weil), and recipient of a Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation teacher scholarship to the Fine Arts Work Center. Wendy took her love for poetry and the creative arts into classrooms, homeless shelters, after school programs, and bereavement workshops. Wendy faced a terrible illness with amazing courage and grace. Her last days were few, and she passed away
on Saturday, August 13, 2016. This collection of Wendy's poems would not have been possible without the wonderful effort of her friend and Westfield Poetry Group leader Adele Kenny, and her friend Nancy Lubarsky.
