DANISH CHRISTMAS MARKET Saturday 25 November 10 am to 5 pm

Experience a Danish Christmas market in Brussels with a truly Danish flavour, allow the mouthwatering culinary delights to tickle your taste buds, let your mind be mesmerized and shop till you drop. The children have the chance to meet and greet Father Christmas in the Sports Hall between 11 am – 12 am and again between 2.30 pm – 3.30 pm.

The venue is the Scandinavian School of Brussels, where for the day, the main building will be converted into a restaurant area, serving traditional Danish Christmas savories and dishes. The area between the main building and the sports hall will feature a football pitch, scout activities and a sausage stall. The sports hall is where the market stalls and a children’s corner will be located.

As you wander the stalls you’ll find typical Danish specialities such as the hot and spicy red wine drink gløgg and pan-fried æbleskiver, usually accompanied with sugar and jam and a slice of deliciously homemade cake – make sure you leave room for it. The sports hall area will be transformed with Christmas stalls, and will be decked out with Christmas decorations to celebrate the holiday season! Don’t forget to spend time in the numerous raffle stalls where fantastic prizes can be won. Browse through the many hundreds of

second-hand books, Danish as well as English. Taste the vicar’s homemade gløgg, it is famous and strong, it will keep any winter chill away. The food stalls are bursting with Danish cheese, baked goods, sausages and regional specialities from Denmark. There are typical Danish Christmas sweets for everyone and the next stall with traditional Danish red hot dogs will ensure nobody leave the market hungry. Finish off your day with a visit to the delightful corner where the wine and champagne stall is located.
