thank you

for Daring to be a Hero! Some heroes may wear capes but others wear stethoscopes, show courage in tough times, spend hours peering down microscopes, or simply offer hugs and hi-fives… and we want to celebrate them all! You can be a hero too by doing something fun or challenging to raise money that will support the children, families and staff at Princess Margaret Hospital and soon at Perth Children’s Hospital. The Dare to be a Hero adventure starts in March and runs through until the end of May. It’s free to sign up and there are some great fundraising prizes and rewards! We’ll keep in touch with regular tips, advice and support so you can raise the most you can for sick children.

Welcome to our fundraising club!

This toolkit is packed with ideas and tips to make sure your Dare to be a Hero fundraising journey is successful and lots of fun! Your fundraising idea, be it a bake sale, casual dress day or marathon run, will help the thousands of children who depend on Princess Margaret Hospital and soon, Perth Children’s Hospital for their health.

Thank you for your support! Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation daretobeahero.com.au

you are giving children like Reily a chance

Children like Reily are depending on you – without your support they wouldn’t have access to internationally acclaimed doctors, research projects, equipment and much more.

Reily was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder when he was just eight months old. After contracting a life-threatening infection, he

2

underwent a bone marrow transplant and spent weeks in hospital. Reily’s condition affects his hearing, sight and several other body functions.

Despite this, he is a cheerful little boy who loves playing with his toy cars.
